About the Chamber

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Saratov Region (CCI SR) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established by the initiative of Russian profit-making and non-profit organizations and individuals.

One of the main goals of the Chamber employees is to contribute to the development of the economy of the Saratov region. The Chamber endeavours to take active part in the formation of contemporary industry, financial and trade infrastructure in the region and to create favourable conditions for businesses to develop. Moreover, one of the priorities in the activity of the Chamber is constituted by facilitating the development of trade and economic, and scientific and technical ties between business people of the Saratov region, Russia and those from other countries. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Saratov Region represents interests of its members, as well as of the whole business community of the region irrespectible of the pattern of ownership or location on the territory of the Saratov region.

At present, the Chamber unites more than 400 organizations, enterprises, companies and individual entrepreneurs. There are 16 professional guilds under the Chamber that unite experts in different spheres for the purpose of joint problem-solving.

According to the results of year 2005 CCI SO was marked with a diploma of the ALL-Russia competition “100 of the best Russian goods” in the “Commodity examination” category, and has also winned the regional competition “the Leader of the year” in the “Active foreign trade activities” category.

In 2006 the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region was awarded Peter the Great award for the large contribution to science, education and business development by the Social Award National committee of the Russian Federation.

In June, 2006 the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region has celebrated its 20th anniversary.

At present the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region unites more than 600 enterprises, organizations and individual enterpreneurs.

The quality management systems expertise, estimation and introduction, economic researches and investments, small business support, foreign economic relations and international cooperation development assistance are on the priority list of the Chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region. According to the list the Chamber renders more than 100 kinds of services, conducts an active propaganda work, trains the experts, renders the methodical and consulting help to businessmen not of the regional centre only. A chamber branch network in the municipal regional districts develops actively.

There are 16 professional guilds working at the chamber of commerce and industry that unite different experts for general problems solving.

There is the reception room of the Arbitration court; the Reliable Partners Register is being kept.

Since May, 2006 the Business press-club at Chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region is working. It is an independent journalist association, which main purposes are to make the MASS-MEDIA, business and authority interaction more effective, to develop an open information space on the region territory, and to rise the business analysts level in MASS-MEDIA.

The chamber of commerce and industry of the Saratov region is accredited by the chamber of commerce and industry of the Russian Federation, that is the official recognition of its competence in its main tasks, functions and services fulfilment.
